A seller on Ebay is selling what he described as Military Contract Surplus Colt Magazines by various manufacturers. The price was really good at $69.00 for a dozen .45acp magazines.

Sooooooooooo....I shoot him a fast and very POLITE mail & ask him if the magazines have the ASSY code number on the base plate & also the MFR manufacturer code number...which THEY WOULD HAVE if they were Govt MIL Contract Mags or contract production over-runs.
I also just POLITELY state that I just wanted to check (for sure) before I place a bid that they are not Chinese Knock Off magazines.

Anyway...Here is his reply to me...I did a "copy & paste" for you.

I sent him back a reply & asked him for the names of any three people that he worked with at Colt during that 4 year period.
That was yesterday morning....still no answer.

That (above) tells me that they ARE Cheap Chinese Knock Off Magazines. So...Don't buy them.
By the way the Chinese ARE counterfeiting Factory COLT Magazines and they DO have a FAKE COLT Horsey on the base plate.
They are total $-hit.
Just so you all know. Be careful buying "COLT" magazines.
