I've got a maxpedition in the back of the truck for carrying emergency equipment and tools on the road. Subjected to a good amount of used as well as sunlight and heat. Hasn't faded of anything and has been holding up well!

I have a maxpedition Monsoon as my Get Home Bag/Emergency Bag. It's performed admirably for me, I had to use it in a search for a child who was lost in the woods at night through heavy brush( we found the child). It did not let me down or slow me down and was comfortable the whole time. I also use a Maxpedition Kodiak for everyday gear and ccw'ing my weapons. It holds a netbook and XD45 and other sundry duty gear that I require for my job. I haul it around all day long and it's comfortable.

Maxpedition's gear is all well made and I would not hesitate to get more of it.

I have had a COLOSSUS for a couple years now. When my bartending gig required that all employees had to have their pockets sewn shut I had to have something to lug my stuff in so I found this "tacticool " bag...then I started finding all sorts of "tacticool" stuff to put in it..has worn well...one critisism...need a longer strap so it will ride another few inches lower.First time I CCW ed was with this bag...and it may forever have a back up piece in it.

Maxpedition products are some of the best made bags I have ever used. I have several that I have USED and they have been awesome. For a good while, I used them for diaper bags (LOL) when travelling and camping just to help keep the hands free. Now that the kids are bigger, they are my range bags and CC packs for trips.

I use a colossus as a camera bag, and it is great. Very well constructed, excellent craftsmanship.

You can get an in-line pouch to extend the strap if needed.

I have a jumbo versipak and a manta. I use the manta as a support bag for my ruger pc4, holds three 20 round mags, and 3 10 rounders, also has room for a spare handgun and mags or speedloaders depending on which handgun. the jumbo is set up as a bob, and is used sometimes as a daybag for short hikes, trips to the zoo etc. I also use it on trips. Want to buy one of the backpacks for day trip stuff and keep the versipak a my go bag. They make several sizes of tactical attaches that would fit you lap top as well as a new bag in three sizes the medium or large might fit you needs also (methguselah & balthazar).

I have a number of different pieces of Maxpedition stuff and can attest that they wear like iron. Maxpedition has a reputation of overbuilding their product and in my experience that is quite true. Well built and tough.
I have included a URL for some stuff that Maxpedition makes that seems to meet the needs of the OP quite well. Bags/Cases - MAXPEDITION HARD-USE GEAR® (Primary innovator and premier manufacturer of outdoor, hunting and tactical nylon gear)

Thanks guys!

I got a Versipack Jumbo this weekend. It won't subsitute for my briefcase just yet, but I liked it and will be using it for jaunts without my laptop and for concelaed carry when I need some extra room.

I liked the Versipack because it don't have a ton of external straps and the like. I like the sling styling and it is confortable as all get-out.

Thumbs up Max...Carry

I have been carrying a Cmdr in my "Fatboy" for about a year. I find it a very good bag, although a bit slower than some. The bag has room for other things, will carry comfortably, is Very sturdy, and comes in a variety of colors.
Anything I have seen or used from Max. is a the best quality...

I have about 6 or 7 Maxpedition products and they are all well built and functional. A few of my items gets very hard use as well and have held up great. I highly recommend their products.

My wife has the Fatboy as a ccw platform/purse and loves it.

Maxpedition has a wide variety of products that vary in function, size and type, so surely you'll find some product to fit your needs or come as close as possible.

Milspec Monkey does some great reviews of a lot of Maxpedition products and several video reviews plus offers some easy modifications if needed.

He even collaborated with them for the Monkey Admin Pouch. You can check out his reviews at the link I provided above.
