I traded my Fatboy for a Jumbo for a Condor II for EDC. I guess it isn't a sling, but I started out with a sling. :-)

In reality, you can get a fair amount of stuff in a Fatboy and more in a Jumbo, but you really have to pack carefully.

In the end, I found the Jumbo just wasn't big enough, and when packed full, sling carry just got uncomfortable if worn for any serious amount of time.

IMO you are *not* going to get your Thinkpad in either the Fatboy or the Jumbo.

YMMV.

I carry the REMORA™ Gearslinger™ whenever I go hiking. Maxpedition makes really tough gear. I wouldn't go with anything else.

I carry a JUMBO VERSIPACK, with added padding for my dSLR and a few lenses. The concealed pocket allows me to carry discreetly while I'm out taking photographs. Great for traveling and when I'm active with the kids.

Thumbs up Love Maxpedition stuff

Just read this thread so sorry its long past most posts (July-ish). I have quite a few Max products-3 Fatboys (got to have all the colors),
several pouches, wallets and a backpack. They are all bomb-proof!.
We were in Zimbabwe going down the hiway at nearly 70mph and my husband's Fatboy with the binos and rangefinder flew off! The bag had a small roadrash on it but the stuff inside was untouched! I use the Fatboy as a purse/CCW platform. It carries my Smith, speedloader,Surefire, Benchmade and all the other stuff a girl needs.
Can't say enough good stuff about Maxpedition products!

I hear ya...BUT EVERY pic you see does no justice on the size of the item in real life. THEY ALL LOOK BIG!!! If you look at Milspec Monkey's reviews...you have to remember that he's a pretty small framed person. Actually the only way I was able to get a real idea of size was IN PERSON.

If you do get the 'bag', be sure to get matching shoes...

Sorry, but I'm a 'carry on the body' guy...

Did you consider the Tommy's Gun Pack?

I like these Waterfield bags. I have a couple small ones for kindle and laptop. Also have a maxpedition. Like these Waterfield better. Great customer service. Just personal preference.

Go over to Atlantic Tactical
Click on BAGS AND ORGANIZERS. Run through all of the pages.
I'm betting that you'll find something suitable over there.
Here Go Da Link. Atlantic Tactical - New Items

I should add that I have purchased assorted stuff from them before.
No bags or organizers - but, they ARE a good honest company and they ship pretty doggone quick.
I always call/phone Credit Card orders in and they are good, helpful, polite, professional, and friendly folks.
