Walther Night Force Laser / Light Combo

My wife, the owner of the P99C, has been wanting a laser / light combo for a while (for home SD). We are facing tough times (econ wise), and $250 to $400 is just not an option.

I was looking at the Walther Night Force Laser / Light Combo ($60 or so).

Anyone have any experience with it? Any good? Will it fit on a P99C? How does it turn on?

Thanks.

I normally holster my pistols and revolvers.

I favor Laser-max but it is not available for any Walther's including the P-99.

Most other types of lasers are added to the grip and completely change the charismatics of the gun or pistol.

Any type of light or laser that is rail mounted will render a holster useless.

Personally I favor a pistol with night sights and a full size Mag-lite LED flashlight. It is like having two weapons. If you can't shoot em, you can blind them with the LED and them club them silly with the heavy flashlight and shoot later if needed.

+1 with SIGP250 on the large bright flashlight.
For home and auto I have this one @ $25.00 you don't have to break the piggy bank.

I get the thoughts against the attached light, but a mounted combo laser / light is something my wife would like for home SD, and since it will not be holstered, I think her logic is good.

This is up to you. I can probably fit a Crimson Trace to your P99. It will be over $300 if I can find one that fits. I don't like them for most shooters, especially ladies. It changes how you have learned to shoot your pistol.

Red Dot may make something I have not looked into that.

Laser max will not invest in the technology needed to make a laser for any Walther's at this time.

If you just want a rail light I can probably find something that will work for your wife. I would not buy the product you are looking at.

Again, I know this sounds crude but many Leo's tape a small Mag-lite led to their pistol. You can buy one very inexpensively and try it out.

On the other hand, a full size Mag-lite LED will light for more than 100 yds. That is why so may Leo's carry them.

There are holsters out there that will accomodate a weapon w/ light. Just hard to find. Just got a P99 .40 for my new carry gun, which is why I joined up on this site. Gonna keep watching this one
