Do it. I have two TK11s. Very nice flashlights especially for the price.

Fenix lights are extremely well made, regardless of their price which is 1/3 of a Surefire! Here's a good page that compares the outputs of a couple less known brands like Fenix and EagleTac to Surefire: Comparing Fenix vs EagleTac vs Nitecore vs Surefire

I've got a Fenix PD-30 and I've been using it on patrol for a few months.

The more I carry it, the more I love it. At first I was a bit disappointed at the rather small size of it, but the beauty of it is that I can carry it in my front pocket. Its as bright or brighter than many full sized flash lights and the strobe feature can be a plus when dealing with combative people at night.

I think it would be a great addition to carry with the gun at night. The strobe is strong enough that it can really be disorienting to anyone that sees it as it will totally destroy night vision for several minutes.. It's another non lethal tool that could work on someone if it was needed to.

I have a bunch of lights, Fenix, Gladius and Surefire, but my all time favorite for CCW is the Surefire E2D LED!

Here's someone else who just bought a Fenix flashlight...

* Utilizes a Premium (Q5) Cree 7090 XR-E LED with a life of 50,000 hours
* Two modes of output, selected by turning the bezel (patented)
* General Mode: 12 lumens (55hrs) -> 53 lumens (10.5hrs) -> 107 lumens (4hrs) -> SOS
* Turbo Mode: 180 lumens (2.4hrs) -> Strobe
* 28 days of survival use (2 continuous hours per day on the lowest setting)
* Digitally Regulated for Constant Brightness
* Uses two 1.5V AA ( Alkaline, NiMH, Lithium ) batteries (not included), inexpensive and widely available
* 14.7cm (L) x 2.1cm (D) or 5.8 in (L) x 0.8 in (D)
* Made of aircraft grade aluminum
* Durable Type III hard anodized finish
* 56-gram (or 2.0 oz) weight (excluding batteries)
* Waterproof to IPX-8 Standards
* Toughened ultra clear glass lens with AR coating
* Push-button tail cap switch
* Capable of standing up securely on a flat surface to serve as a candle
* Batteries not included
* Includes a holster, a lanyard, two spare o-rings, and a rubber switch boot

I like the fact that it can use 2AA batteries...I have a recharging unit for AA batteries so this is a huge plus. 180 lumens is great, too...and a long battery life.

It's not small like the PD-20 posted earlier (at almost 6" in length) but I'm not worried about concealing it, and I have big pockets...

If the light output is anything like the PD-20 posted earlier I should be very happy.

More later when it arrives.

Surefire is for sure top of the line in price... Go for a Fenix. More bang for the buck.

Compared to maglites..

Does anyone know which of these high powered lights are dimensionally the same as the 2AA maglites? I carry a maglite everyday and would like something brighter and tougher. But the current size of the maglight is perfect for me, Im used to it, its just big enough to not be an issue.

Im amazed more regular people dont carry flashlights everyday. People can argue all day long about needing a firearm but I think no one can argue that sometime you gotta see stuff in a dark places.

Thanks!

Alex!

The Surefire E2e is slightly smaller than the Mag 2AA IIRC.
