Try hitting a moving coyote with 1/2 moon light in you back yard at 25 yards with night sights and you will appreciate the laser. For me, target acquisition is about 10 times faster.

spend the money on ammo or reloading components and practice more. learn the "point and shoot" method. night sights are ok if they come free with the gun, good for finding the gun on the night stand in the dark. lasers works well on tv and in the movies, you will not have time to look for the red dot when it "hits the fan".

All in your mentality.. I have a green beam on my AR and all I can say is the beam may scare the threat more than the gun its self.

If you think you will like a laser, buy a laser, try a laser, and if you dont like the laser, just use it for a dog toy or sell it.

No way you will know until you try it.

You can ask all day long in these forums and you will NOT get a good answer as it is just like politics, biased and opinionated.

Try it and see for your self.

My vote goes to laser over night sights. Crimson Trace are the best.

I will agree they are not meant to take the place of markmanship training. However, they are far superior to night sights in low light situations.

The argument that you shouldn't shoot what you can't see also holds for night sights because you can still see the night sights when you can't see the target. The argument for close quarters also holds for the night sights because you won't be using them either yet they are there when you do need them.

Bottom line, in my opinion, is that the properly adjusted laser will do everything the night sight will and more importantly in a far superior manner.

Unless, of course, the battery is dead
