I voted NO because I carry a knife but not for defensive purposes. Gun for lethal force, pepper spray for non-lethal. On my weak I also have a Streamlight Stylus Pro that I can deploy very quickly as an impact weapon and sometimes a pocket gun weak side too, so overall I'm not worried about needing a knife in a defensive situation.

Err, not sure how to answer the poll. If I carry a leatherman, it's not what I'd call 'tactical', do I answer yes or no to "Do you carry a tactical knife AND a gun together?"?

I carry two knives (three if you count the multi-tool):

-Kershaw Leek, in weak side front pocket.
-Strider inspired Buck in strong-side front pocket.

(also always carry a light & lighter)

I grew on a ranch/beef farm in Missouri and carried a knife everyday, even to school. We could do that back then.

I still carry a knife everyday. Nowday it is a Spyderco Wayne Goddard model.

Is it a weapon, Maybe. It is a tool ? Yes always.

Even when I am not carrying a gun my knife stays with me.
