I have the Ameriglo operators and like them. The rear dots are barely visible in all but the darkest conditions. My first choice though is a plain black rear sight with a solid white or white ringed tritium front sight. That configuration takes my eyes to the front sight very quickly.

I highly recommend the Heinie Ledge straight-eight or Warren Tactical sights. Both are build like a tank, provide a perfect sight picture, and can be ordered with Trijicon trit inserts.
