More great pics Bob - and yeah - that .50 press is HUGE !!

As an engineer and partial machinist I can appreciate the nice work that has gone into various items.

Type 06FFL is an Ammunition Manufacture License. A license of this type is needed for making components (brass, primers, powder, bullets) as well as manufacturing complete ammunition.
I hope you are getting lots of lots of liability insurance for that.

Thanks Chris...

As you know making it is the easy part...figuring it all out is the killer.

Yeah that "Batcave" is where I go when the wife starts nagging me. I just smile and walk out to the shop behind my house where I can dissapear from reality and do my own thing while listening to some classic Rock.

Very theraputic.

I'm starting out with just bullet making and reloading equipment sales. Might venture out to ammunition after a bit. Probably just local LE practice ammo. Heard liability for ammo maker starts at $4K per year. If I can't guarentee enough sales from that to justify it, I won't go there.

Yes. If you make ammuntion, including components, for sale and profit, you need a Type 06FFL. The cost is $30 for three years and you need to submit prints, mugs, and EPA paperwork.

Ammunition components are considered ammunition by the ATF. To engange in the business of their manufacture, you are required by law to be licensed with a Type 06FFL. However, if you already possess a Type 01FFL (Dealer in Title I Firearms and Ammunition) the ATF's position is that the Type 01FFL suffice. That is to say if Joe's Gunshop, a licensed Type 01FFL, wants to make bullets or sell ammunition under their "Joe's Gunshop" business, they do not need to submit the Type 06FFL application.
