Reloading DefensiveCarry.com accepts no liability for reloading information posted by members. It is down to the individual posting to ensure safe standards and to readers to verify what they read - it is they finally who bear responsibility for useage of information. Remember - typos can occur!
We strongly recommend that in most cases quoted loads be derived from recognized loading manuals and if possible these should be referenced. Where loads do not have back-up reference data available, for instance with use of an unusual powder, then posters are asked to please detail their method for establishing their data. Irresponsible publishing of unsubstantiated ''guestimated'' data is deprecated and may be heavily moderated.

Handloading is very rewarding. As Chris says, the exchange of ideas will be worthwhile. Others' handloading posts will be instructive and thought-provoking. This is a nice addition to the Forum despite any "sour grapes" to the contrary.

I think some stickies on the basics would be reasonable - especially if everything wasn't generalized. Maybe "Reloading 101" "Progressive presses" "Turret presses" "Favorite loads" for a start. JMO

I'm writing a this press type versus that press type this weekend. Look for it Monday. It will cover the hand press, single stage, turret, and progressive press types.

Love it. Found it earlier this week (I havn't been on a lot), and ended up reading almost every single post in it. I have been compiling my reloading Christmas/Wish list the past few weeks so that I can start reloading sometime next year. I came on here to look up an old post and discovered this sub-forum and spent the next 2 and half hours reading.

I have been watching the traffic in this forum off and on since I created it and, although still modest in traffic, I know very well it takes awhile for new forums to catch. I'm petty satisfied with participation. I even find myself poking around in here more than I expected.

Overall, you guys made a good suggestion that will be a value to members, even if I was slow to warm up to the idea. Enjoy!

Glad you like it and think its worthwhile Bumper. Maybe it'll keep the same questions from being asked 5000 times.

This was the main idea behind this thread. I wanted to gauge the participation in this subforum, for one, to validate my thread requesting a subforum for reloading and two to reassure Bumper that he didn't make a mistake.

I count at least six people that have PM'd me with either reloading questions or telling me they are now taking the plunge into reloading. There are at least that many that have publicly stated they are just starting out. I'm glad to see the turnout we have so far. This forum is young yet but I think it will get better.

Thanks again Bumper.

My vote was about subforums in general. I log on, then go to the latest posts and start reading.
Breaking it into catagories is somewhat useful if doing research, but the search line pulls up relevant data just as well.
So disregard one 'not great at all' vote.
