Have been browbeating my son into taking my brass over to his friend's house for him to tumble it, but this brass in a sock thing has possibilities. Wonder what would happen if the knot came loose in the dryer?

Back in my pre-tumbler days, i cleaned my nasty brass with liquid BRASSO and an old rag. It did'nt take long to clean a batch of 50 that way.
