I wonder if this would work for brass?

Got a Harbor Freight flyer today, noticed a vibrating tumbler. Just below that they listed resin media for it.
Might be too big to get inside the cases, might be too abrasive. Might just order some to see.

Get find ground walnut for media - my wife picked me up an 8# bag from Walmart - marked as bird litter. Great value compared with Lyman small box - IIRC it was approx $8 for this huge bag ..... throw a little of some Midway polish goop on it and good to go.

I tried pet shop corn media once but it was larger pieces - got stuck in cases - worst was .223's - once the stuff got in that was it - cases got pitched!

I tried that too. Digging all that stuff out of about 200 30 carbine cases was no fun at all.
Might work fine for large mouth cases and it doesn't plug up the flash holes.

I use corn cob with larger calibers and walnut for 22-25 caliber brass. Works well. Get some NuFinish car polish. Get the polish, not the wax. Add two caps full in the media and let it tumble into it before you add any brass. I start off with 3/4 of the bowl filled and tumble it for about 5 minutes. Tumble for 2hrs and it will come out shining like diamonds.

Leave the spent primers in the brass while tumbling so media doesn't get stuck in the flashhole.

I have a little pick for clearing flash holes but am generally lazy so leave primers in as Tubby says. I attend Church each Sunday but am irreligious about case tumbling, only doing it when it strikes my fancy, which ain't too often.

This is a pretty standard tumbler, price is decent. I have read the new frankford arsenal tumbler with the straight veritcal sides on it does not work that well.

I do unless it's case that requires lubing, then I tumble after depriming to remove the case lube.

Guess I should have mentioned I'm not a newbie to case polishing, I use corncob with auto polish added (no ammonia).
I saw the resin media and it made me wonder how well it would work for reloading.

I haven't tried the resin media yet. The tumbler would work just fine. If you catch it during a sale, the price is right.
I got the Frankford Arsenal tumbler from Midway on sale with the separator, brass polish and a bag of corncob media. It was cheaper than the tumbler at Harbor Freight.
My FA tumbler has straight sides with very shallow and wide flutes. I don't know if this is the "Straight vertical sides" or not, but works perfectly.
