Need Help Guys,45 Acp
ok here we go ,bought a new kimber pro raptor 45 acp,shot about 3 hundred rounds of white box winchesters in it no problems everthing worked great .started loading some rounds up for it using hs6 8.2 g with 230 rn seated at 1.200 after loading 250 rounds went out to shoot them and slide wont go into battery ,slide stops about 1/8 in before going closed sometimes alittle more .2 out of 3 slide wont close ,went though all 250 rounds this way .checked stock ammo all good ,went back to reload ,slide wont close .i thought maybee loads were just to light for this gun so i beefed up the loads to 8.8 it was better but still not working right .dont wont to go much heaver on the powder ,ive checked cases compaired to stock all good ..

So your saying it wont close on a loaded round your OAL should be fine .. but does this have a match grade barrel per chance? What is the OAL on the factory rounds you have
Also a weak round wont keep it from going into battery you would tend to see problems on ejection |

if the factory ammo is longer and your bullet isnt over sized your not sizing your cases down enough

Either size down more. Your die should touch the shellholder/shellplate. Otherwise run in in a Lee factory crimp die and that will post size the cartridge. The FCD has cured many issues.

just checked some brass its only .oo2 longer than stock ,u think thats making a difference

die is touching shell holder checked that about 20 times already,i use a lee factory crimp die

Maybe maybe not measure the depth of your chamber with a Caliper
Maybe you have a short chamber |

i can set the bullet in the chamber and it slide in great all the down to the rim
