Meet the .25-327 Federal Magnum

.327 Federal Magnum necked down to .257" with a 60gr FP seated to 1.473". My little wildcat I just designed.

What a hoot! Sort of a junior .256 Winchester Magnum. Probably more practical than the .256 and also probably wouldn't give up hardly anything ballistically to it from handgun length barrels. Also could be considered a modern rendition of the great old .25-20. When's Marlin gonna chamber it up in their lever action?

I'm getting an Encore barrel cut when funds allow.

.256 Win Mag on left, .25-327 Fed Mag on right. My .256 Win Mag needed a little brother.

Oh man that thing is just perfect for varmints. Maybe you'll be able to use some longer rifle type bullets in it...

Don't know. The neck is pretty short.
