Brass Catchers

Do they actually work? My 9mm spits brass about 3-4 lanes on average (I'm that guy...but I usually try for the far right lane)...so it doesn't seem like these little contraptions actually work

In our Bullseye league some use a fish-tank type net mounted on an adjustable pole to catch brass.

I don't reload, so I use one of the ranges light plywood deflectors and angle it so my brass bounces out into my lane.

Texas Yankee
I built one using PVC pipes and netting. Depending on the handgun, it catches somewhere between 50% and 90% of the shells.

Shoot in the right most lane. Brass will hit the wall and be concentrated in a little area.

Ask Friesepferd about how far my 10mm brass likes to fly. Oh, Fries, I got a new little toy to bring on Thursday....10mm related....

If I had a brass catcher, I'd look awful funny scooping up everyone else's brass at the range. Not having one gives me a perfect excuse to mix all of their's in with mine when I pick them up.

I can't find the link but there was a brass catcher that telescoped and folded into a box that caught brass.

If this was a brass catcher to store at a range. Take a couple of PVC pipes angle them like a V with the bottom in a 5 gallon bucket. Put a sheet across the V to catch the brass and direct it into the bucket.
