I have been trying to find a recipe for .40S&W using Bullseye powder and hornady XTP 180gr. Links and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't see a 115gr XTP for anything but 9mm on their site. You sure? https://www.hornady.com/contact_us.php

Gotchya. I darn near got a folder full from them about five years ago...looking to expand beyond my load data books I already had. Just told them I used IMR powders for the 6.5x55 and in a week's time had all that info. Most any bullet manufacturer will do that for the reloader. Hornady and Sierra are the best IMO. And talking to these folks at tech support over the phone will tell you they are just as concerned about your safety and happiness with their product.

Alliant shows a Bullseye load in their load data on their web site. Remember that they only show max loads so you want to back off 10% for a starting load. The load they show is for a GDHP bullet but in reality, there are only two things that matter when looking for a load for a particular caliber.
Who actually makes the bullet will not affect the load selected. Hoss

Sorry it was actaully 155gr xtp with bullseye. I called Hornady and they said they have never tested that combo so he called alliant. They recomended not to use bullseye for 155gr. Burns to fast. I will take their advice and go with another powder. Any recomendations?

You may want to try online Hodgdon - The Gun Powder People. They have a reloading center and I saw your particular bullet with some 16 combinations of powders.
