"Blem" bullets are I have found pretty OK for general target and plinking work. Last batch of 2,000 223 FMJ's I got were pulled tho, and very good price. (Also had a stellar deal on about 2,500 158 JHP's, 'blems' - Hornady Gold dots - that was a sweat deal and darned if I have found a bad one yet.)

Those do just fine but I did take the time to sort them a bit as canellures were of variable height and so graded them a bit. The best were kept for good use rounds - the random ones went to plinking loads. Might be worth paying attention to ogive location if a batch happens to be mixed lot - to make sure ''jump'' is kept within bounds when deciding on OAL.

Can sometimes get a decent deal on bulk bullets from Dillon, but Midway usually has the best sales when you can catch them.

Try TJ Conovera.
55gr Winchester bullets for $69 per 1k. Also good prices on 38 and esp. 9mm fmj and plated bullets as well as brass.
