#1 Keep up with current trends: SIZE DOESN'T MATTER! LOL

#2 Shot placement trumps caliber every time.

I agree that shot palcement trumps caliber, but it sure makes me feel better knowing the junk of lead or copper headed down range is of a larger caliber, just in case!

9mm uses .355 bullets
40 uses .400 bullets

Lead bullets are usually oversized one thou to seal the bore. .356 is for .38 Super.

I'm glad the photos were posted. That makes it clear.

In reality, if you have a container with a mix of .40 and 9 mm, it is quite easy to pick them out and separate them by size and appearance. The .40 looks significantly (in the common meaning of the word) larger than the 9, even though there really isn't a huge difference. There is a difference in energy, especially if you compare 115 gr 9 mm with 180 gr .40. Still, the ideas sometimes floated around that the larger caliber will lift someone off their feet is a pretty good stretch.

The "housing" is called a cartridge case, or simply a case.

I'm sure you had a point some where in that. You can call it a casing if you like as well. I was at work thinking of bearing housings. Sue me.

The point was correcting the use of incorrect terminology. Sorry if that offends you.

Yea, it's also called a casing. My apology for inserting correct terminology into the thread.

Lighten up; it's not worth a law suit. :)
