The Great UN Gun Debate

I got a DVD ages ago, title per my subject line - probably thru NRA and promptly mislaid it

I did find it recently and watched it - with Wayne LaPierre debating with (bletch) Rebecca Peters of IANSA.

I have no idea how many or few here have seen this but hey - if you want to really cringe then listen to the Peter's attempts at justifing global gun control.

Wayne did pretty well against such a gut-emotion individual but still - I was enraged so many times by her ridiculous statements, knowing that what she said was pure ''for-the-sheep'' fodder, and that sheep lap this stuff up.

The debate could have been exactly the same if carried out with the 4th July UN conference - nothing has changed from this 2004 debate.

This idealogical apology for an intelligent woman was so typical of what we are up against - I'll guess Sarah, Chuck and all the other anti's could have uttered all the same drivel because they all spout the same absurd rhetoric. talk about heads in dark places!!!

Anyways - I guess I am enjoying a small rant - sorry!

Nope, haven't seen the video, but I have read some of Peter's statements and they are enough to make me sick. You really can't even debate with her. She never resorts to fact for one thing.

Ive seen it, and the foolish and quite plainly idiotic sentiments shared by Peters and her kind flat out piss me off.

I am so sick and tired of the brady bunch and their left wing media trying to spoon feed their agenda to the general public, and what is worse is that there are a good percentage of these people who actually believe this crap.

Every time I get into this discussion with an anti-gunner, it flat out makes me physically ill to think what they want to do with this Nation. Do they not realize what the 2nd amendment does for us? Do they not enjoy their freedoms? Do they take pleasure in trying to take from us what is essentially the only iron-clad safegaurd against tyranny? Do they not understand that disarming the citizenry is the first giant step toward totalitarian control. These people actually try to turn it around on us, saying WE are the ones who are closed-minded oppressors, and dangerous and violent. They try to portray us as the ones who want to return to lawlessnes, " the days of the old west".

I flat out do not understand, nor do I wish to understand these people. They would have us walking around waving rainbow flags, holding hands and singing kumbayah while the nation burned.

It is sad that so many Americans actually buy into this rubbish.

Join a pro-gun orgainization if you are not in one already, only by sticking together in fighting for our common interests can we hope to prevail against this very real, and very dangerous threat posed by Peters and her ilk.

Do they not realize that it was the 2nd ammendment in a reason? Seems like if it was that high on the list of things to keep around people would take it alittle more seriously but they dont.

Notice that at least twice she also refused to give up the floor when her time was up. Clearly they have no manners to speak of also.
