I suppose Montville citizens would have to use their guns to bludgeon their attackers instead of shooting them.

The ensuing lawsuits from victim's families will bankrupt both the town and it's officials I'm sure...

actually i dont think you could beat them to death with the gun because im sure they have a brandishing law as well......

There would likely be an exception for a justified shooting. In my state, with certain exceptions you cannot fire a gun within the boundaries of a municipality. Nonetheless, justified self defense still reigns supreme. This to me shows the problem of letting municipalities make gun laws.
