I knew DC was bad but not that bad. Why do you think there is a fence around the White house with guards. just kidding. DC is a prime example of what strict gun control can do. With our coke buddy in office its a wonder that its not a lot worse. I used to hang around DC in the sixtys and it was a safe place. They used to sell guns in the drugstore on 14th street. We used to go to DC to the bars and dance with the girls.

Things have sure changed.

No it's NOT a RIGHT!

You have the right to LIFE, LIBERTY & the Pursuit of Happiness.

Notice that happiness is NOT guaranteed, just your right to the PURSUIT of it.

Neither is the 'freedom from fear'.

I just love the way people call things 'RIGHTS'. The

think they have the right to health care, welfare, free lunch, government subsidies...etc.....

Your 'rights' aren't dependent on denying someone else their rights.

Here is a good example of what I mean:

You have the right to freedom of speech, BUT NOBODY IS REQUIRED TO LISTEN TO YOU.

I too used to go to DC for the night life back in the 60's. Now I wouldn't be out on the streets after dark even if armed - just too many scum bags for my taste. It is sad that I, a loyal, tax-paying citizen of US of A, can't visit our nations capitol in safety.

What do you think the registration period is for? 3 months to register them, wait 3 months, then have a 3 month turn in period before they go door to door to confiscate them. Duh. Not too hard to figure out.

It is DC. It's not like they are having a change of mind, else they would just make them legal to own, not just legal to register.

Sorry, maybe that's just too political.
