Following is a copy of a letter I sent to Congressman Maurice Hinchey
This is something we should all do,Send as many letters to our representatives as we can and have everyone we know do the same.

Dear Representative Hinchey,
I am extremely opposed to HR 1022 or the Assault Weapons
Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2007. I am not opposed to Law
Enforcement Protection,But I am opposed to the Banning of all firearms,in
the hands of LAW ABIDING CITIZENS.I know of all the GOOD things you have done for a lot of folks who needed
your help,I ask you to help the Good Citizens of this Country who beleive
in the Second Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms.I am well aware of the
crimes against Police and Civilians with such firearms,but as you must know, these
Firearms are illegaly obtained.By Representative Carolyn McCarthy,
attempting to ban these firearms,the only thing she is accomplishing is
to remove them from the citizens, and allowing the Criminals to have
access.The other thing that I fear is, if this Ban should go into effect
the owning of some if not all hunting rifles with detachable magazines
would fall under this Law.

I hate to say it but I cant foresee HR 1096 coming to be with out radical changes.The House or Congress will not allow it to happen.I really hope that I'm wrong!
