Glad you joined. Welcome!

For me, the best part of being a member is the fact that I am part of a group that is unashamed to defend the right to keep and bear arms for the protection of self and the state. Without the NRA, we would have long since lost the right to have guns -- that is certain.

Consider the Easy-Pay Life plan. It costs $25 per quarter, until you have paid for a Life Membership. From there, you are always a member, but can donate when and if you wish to.

Congratulations and welcome. I have been a member for years, and finally got my Life Membership. It is a great organization, and protects our favorite right; at least one of our favorite rights!

Like any organization they pull some bone head moves for time to time. But given are gun rights are under attack they do good work.

It comes down to the old quote about how all it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing.

So in the absence of groups like the NRA, the very first time they tried to ban guns, with no opposition, why wouldn't it happen? We have to keep a constant guard up; if we relax for a moment, that's when they'd push through with the bans and we'd be left like they are in England.
