Editorial writers seem to believe that the facts are what they want them to be so that their editorial will be "accurate."

Yep.

In fact he's so blatantly ignorant of both the facts and of his own ignorance toward what he speaks of that his piece is pretty much laugh out loud laughable, to anyone who even has a remote clue toward the facts of the subjects he addressed Cho Seung-Hui and his .22LR 'assault weapon' et. al.

There are very many moronic articles and editorials like these floating around.
Here in MA I've seen two in four days addressing trappers and trapping in this state. Again so called news people and editorializers writing about and quoting persons there in who plainly have no clue they they are stupid/mistaken/wrong and in fact clueless.

Exactly. They piss and moan about how we gun-people leave out the part about "well-regulated militia" (even though we know and understand that it still doesn't limit the second clause in the construction); and then they go and entirely omit the part they know they can't argue with. Disgusting.

Every time one of these articles comes up, we need to flood the paper with letters to the editor. If they get enough of them, some will hopefully be published.
Oh, rest assured that they will publish pro-gun letters--often some quite good ones. I myself have had letters published in the Miami Herald, The Sun-Sentinel (s. FL), The Palm Beach Post, and Newsday (Long Island). In each of those papers, in the last 14 years, I have had easily a half-dozen to a dozen letters--in each--and the subject of the majority of my letters was gun rights.

But I won't pretend that these papers don't print a bunch of anti-gun utter nonsense in addition to the intelligent pro-gun stuff that they run.

"and because of Americans' growing ambivalence about gun control. A Gallup Poll showed that the percentage of people who favor stricter gun-sale laws dropped from a high of 78 percent in 1990 to a low of 51 percent in 2002."

So this tells this guy that more laws are needed?

Fear not, fellow gunners

In about a year, we gun owners are goin to get a hard lesson in partisan politics if Hillary gets elected. We will be even stronger than we were in 1993 when her supid husband enacted AWB1. I remember then that there were many of my huntin' budies who could have cared less that an AR-15 got banned, as long as their deer rifles were safe. Just watch and see what happens when their proposals to define any deer rifle as a "sniper rifle" goes through; When all semi-automatic shotgunsare considered "riot weapons". We will defintely get the hunters' attention then. And maybe we can take back congress in the Mid-terms.

Pray we are that lucky.....

Pray.....
