What do we do if SCOTUS votes against us?!
I just saw a thread on another gun board that had this very concern. Some say they will get my bullets before my guns, others say they lost their firearms, and well some say we need to revolt.
What do you think you would do?

Think before you post.
1.Be smart enough to NOT talk about it in public.
2. Be prudent whatever choice we make... ![]() |

Do not answer "What if" questions. If SCOTUS overturns the lower court decision no one has any idea what individual states or the US government will do. Therefore to even attempt to answer the question is foolish. Even the way that the determination is worded can have an affect on what kind of precident the decision sets. This can determine whether the decision affects all states or the federal government or only DC. Until the decision is made by SCOTUS any answer is just wishful thinking and a waste of time and energy.

This is one of those things not worth worrying about until it gets to that point. I've got no idea

The makeup of SCOTUS is probably in our favor.
Just my best guess though I am not a devout court watcher.

Dr. CMG, I think that at the heart of the question is the assumption that following an out-and-out anti-gun-rights decision, we'd experience an all-out attempt to utterly legislate guns into oblivion. We would, of course, still have those representatives who vote their consciences pro-gun to battle against the onslaught of radical ban legislations that might be promulgated; but at the very best we would still end up with some real bad anti legislation, because they'd send their worst, most un-constitional dream laws at us, knowing that they couldn't be struck down.
I don't think that even the most die-hard anti-gunners in Congress have the guts to follow up an anti-gun SCOTUS decision with "Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in," regardless of all their brave talk. There would be hell to pay, and they know it. And we are, after all, talking about the same group of do-nothings who swore up and down in 2006 that they were going to yank us right out of Iraq, and they got elected, and what have they had the guts to attempt? Nothing. So even in the face of a full-on bad news SCOTUS decision, I think we'd be all right. That's not to say I don't care how it ends up; I want a pro-gun decision more than anything! If they really do end up taking the huge poop on what we KNOW to be the TRUTH of the 2nd Amendment, I think I would not be hard to pursuade to ... I'll leave the rest to your imagination. ![]() |

Should be very interesting...my understanding is the decision should be made public next summer...3 or so months from the presidential election. Hummmm.
