One of the things that made my wife, then girlfriend, decide to keep me around is that I told her I was looking for a girl who could take care of herself... but didn't mind letting me take care of her sometimes.
I quite admire a lady who is self-reliant. I really like to cook, so I guess I'm just all about breaking gender stereotypes. ;)

Betty,
Great image in the photo and good poem the way you have written it....don't change it as far as I can see. macfada, Your are very right about the fact that more or most all people should become self reliant, but far too many people, men and woman included, leave there lives in the "universe's hands"...but that could be a topic for several threads not just this one. Betty as usual you have got me thinking again.
