[quote]When I stated that I have the right to defend myself in my home I got a lecture about some guy that was hiding in his closet to surprise a family member on their birthday and he was shot dead.
Then I was asked where my guns were while I was away from home. I told them I brought one of them w/me and was taped above the toilet hidden in the mens room. Geez .. ask a stupid question...

Indeed. You're a true boyscout in my opinion. Just so long as you compromise yourself and nobody else, keep up the good work!

Things that make you go "hmmmmmmm."

See attached.

Interesting, isn't it? Prohibition comes to the District Of Columbia in 1975. And yet, the rate of incidence of violent crime in DC isn't all that different since 1960 except for the 1969-1983 period in which heroin, cocaine, alcohol and anti-establishment resistance was surging. Generally speaking, crime rates aren't much different than the mid-1960's in DC, despite nearly 35yrs of prohibition. Hmmmmm.

But how can that be? Their AG (on the News Hour) insisted that the ban was highly effective at preventing crime.

I believe a person that has a gun or two loaded and ready to defend themselves definitely help to make a home safer. That is the basic reason I acquired the guns I now own! My wife and I both are licensed concealed carry gun owners!
