There are lots of emotions involved here on both sides. And in my opinion, both are wrong. As a result of DC-Heller, nothing will change with crime in DC. It will not get worse. Everybody who wants a gun in DC to commit a crime, already has one. It will not get better either. Law abiding citizens will still be very reluctant to buy a gun, and they will still not allowed to carry outside the house.
