I am licensed to carry concealed in the Great State of Alabama, and all of the states that currently have a reciprocal agreement with Alabama.

Does anybody have a clue as to what the current status is in regards to my rights to carry in DC?
None at all. Get caught with a firearm in DC, and you'll get locked up.

Your Alabama CCW means nothing in DC. Carrying a gun there -> felony charges -> prison.

Don't do it. There's nothing to test to be a "test case".

Just for your info. Knives have to be three inches. All of the government buildings have metal dectors. This includes musems. I was refused acess but the guard was nice enough to let me leave, me being a old vet from out of state.

I'm absolutely amazed that this question was actually asked in the first place. Anybody who doesn't know that Washington DC is a gun-free zone must have been living on another planet for the last 40 years. ---->

HELLER and CCW had nothign to do with each other.

It was strictly about having a gun in the Home. Welll I guess I caught him a day late. I wonder if he is in jail right now.

What would happen if we as a group (DefensiveCarry) each threw $ to buy a home in DC for the ability to get a permit for home use?

All my guns are considered Machineguns in the District and therefore my handguns are still illegal. GLOCKS, SIGS, 1911's and basically evey single SEMI Automatic pistol are considered a machine gun under the DC Law. They are also apparently keeping that law to . I have no interest in Revolvers, except a Small JFrame. I have also been to DC many times being only a stones throw away from there and I still have no need to go there. The only reason I would go to DC would be to go to the Museums/Memorials and you still can't have a gun there since its Federal property.

Sure, it costs a lot to buy a house in D.C. But you can buy a Congressman for pretty cheap.
