OMG, just listening to that guy should be a criminal offense. Yeah, I haven't commited a crime YET? Watch out, I might change my name to Ali Babba and start wearing a sheet (that would hinder my draw though). He is so far off base, he couldn't hit the ground if he fell.

Gun control can be blamed in part for allowing 9/11 to happen.

This reminds me of that movie, Minority Report, with Tom Cruise, how they started convicting people of crimes that they hadn't yet committed based on the psychic visions of three .. people?

It brought up a lot of ethical and moral questions and the bottom line is that no one has the right to take away someone's rights on a basis of what they MAY do.

And that's exactly what the Brady Campaign is trying to do. They are trying to take away our rights based on the POSSIBILITY that a crime COULD be committed.

What a bunch of hooey! Whatever happened to innocent until PROVEN guilty?

I was going to mention that, but I could not remember the title of the movie.

Well, if he ever gets to rewrite the Constitution, you are born guilty and you need to be protected from yourself. Just look at England and the nanny state.

Kinda reminds me of a song we used to sing in sunday school when I was a kid:
Quote:
I'm no kin to the monkey.
The monkey's no kin to me.
I don't care about your ancestors, but mine didn't swing from a tree.
edit: It was about evolution...not what's in the news quite a bit lately...didn't realize it could be read that way until after I re-read that. Oops.

The point was...I think these guys may actually be kin to the monkey. Then again, that could be construed as denigrating monkeys.
