I caught a blurb last night on Fox5 out of DC on the proposed regulations DC is talking about instituting for firearms in the district of crime. I was actually pleasantly surprised. The fox guy doing the story was making it pretty clear that DC's restrictions would effectively ban self defense. He even went to the lengths of going to a gun shop and the owner ran him through drills of unlocking and loading a revolver during normal rest and then again in low light...all of which were timed.

I tried to find the story on their site this morning and this is about as good as I can find.
