I loved watching Mir beat that WWE guy. I was afraid he was gonna lose at first, but great comeback. Glad he's pro-gun as well as an amazing fighter.

Only problem is a lot of people out there think these guys are barbarians, so this won't be a shock when a "barbarian," likes guns.

People don't understand this is a sport, and these guys are athletes, like boxers.

When I saw Brock Lesnar dropping those hammer fist punches on him, I thought Mir was a goner. Goes to show you that if you can submit a guy, you are always in the fight.

Frank Mir is a former UFC Champion- he's a big name in MMA. People respect him & listen to his perspective. I think this is a plus for us pro-gun folks.

That's the funny thing too. A number of them are "smarter than the average bear" so to speak. Mir is just one example. Another would be Rich Franklin(BS in Mathematics and Masters in Secondary Ed and formerly a full time HS math teacher prior to the UFC). They're not all blockheads. We do need more of guys like Mir on our side though as they do carry a following so they get more exposure.

Frank Mir is one of the guys you always want to see win. He lost his title after a bad motorcycle accident. I'm happy to see him back. He announces for the WEC on Versus for anyone curious about MMA.

The only thing he mentioned that I would object to was someone bear-hugging from the front and he's getting the gun out, and his coach kicking him in the rear after he's started firing. He said that the person who jumps on his back is carried 20 yards one way and 20 yards back and then he picks up the gun. His type of training -definitely throws stress into it, but I wouldn't do the bear hug from the front and draw my weapon and live-fire, nor would i want to have someone kick me in the rear in training with anyone else at the range. And from what I've seen of MMA athletes, most of them I would consider more intelligent than most other pro athletes. OMO. YMMV

BAC is a forum contributor
I dunno, probably reinforces keeping the booker-hook off the bang-switch. If he's got folks helping him be safe, more power to him.
