Ted is a good guy...he used to have a place in Jackson, MI...near where I worked. I have run into him before in a Meijer's store. He just never let's you know how he REALLY feels.

I believe it is that straightforward, that the 2A was in fact put in place as a strict and absolute limit AGAINST the exact sort of governing hacks that seek to supplant themselves as a faux-royal class above the People, at the expense of the People.
If nothing else, someone's 2A position is a clear and simple guide as to how someone thinks about the People and their basic rights. If someone actually believes ANYTHING trumps the right to the pursuit of life (via the legitimate defense of it), then that says something powerful about that criminal. Ted sees clearly, when it comes to the simple reality of it all.
