I hope it doesn't happen but some day we may be ending up in dark alleys and meeting in rundown flop houses meeting people we normally wouldn't associate with nervously looking around while he asks what ya looking for ,and you say I need a box of 9mm or 45 or 22's and he says that'll be $200.00 and then says if you get caught with it you didn't get it from me and then you hurry home slinking from shadow to shadow keeping a wary eye out for "THEM"

This is yet another issue worth contacting your Representatives about.

H.R. 45 is a resurfacing of 2007's H.R. 2666, which contained much of the same language and was co-sponsored by 15 other representatives and Barack Obama's current chief of staff, Rahm Emmanuel. H.R. 2666 was assigned to the House Judiciary committee, where no action was taken.
Up to this point, this bill has no co-sponsors.

Hopefully, it will die a quick death.

What's up with the folks in Illinois? I am sooo glad I don't live there.

Amen. On both counts.
I am so sick of Michigan, government not as bad as Illinoise, but man it is a bleak landscape.

The bill claims its purpose is "to protect the public against the unreasonable risk of injury and death associated with the unrecorded sale or transfer of firearms to criminals and youth."
I am guessing he is assuming that criminals record the transfer of firearms illegally obtained. This is just another attempt to prevent ownership by law-abiding citizens.

Yes, because all the gangbangers in his neighborhood will be sure to submit a photo, thumbprint, and "mental health records."

This man is such a genius!

Anyway, registration is the step before confiscation. This has been seen time and time again.
