ATTENTION ALL Michigan CPL/CCWers
Hello my name is Joseph and i found a Bill that will lift the restrictions here in Michigan we need to call and urge our representative to vote for House Bill 4348. Google it. Visit this link to find your rep. house.mi.gov - Find a Representative don't wait. Here's what it does ("to repeal the “gun-free zone” provision of the concealed pistol permit law, which prohibits those who have received a permit after meeting the background check and training requirements, from carrying a pistol in schools, day care facilities, sports stadiums or arenas, bars, bar/restaurants, places of worship, college dorms and classrooms, hospitals, casinos, entertainment facilities that hold more than 2,500, and courts.
Referred to the House Judiciary Committee on February 19, 2009.)

HB 4759 and HB 4760 were introduced in May 07 and didn't get anyplace. They lifted the restrictions also. Sadly, this will probably take the same path. There is a push to change carry at University's. This bill will not remove the Court carry provision since that is a court order.
