Todays set is another EMP set, but done in Amboyna Burl. I like this wood on ANY pistol, but it looks exepcially good to me on the two tones.
I hope everyone still has all their fingers and toes and enjoyed the 4th of July! Sarge ![]() ![]() |

Yet another EMP set, this in exhibition grade curly maple.
Tomorrow I start back with the government and bob grips as they are finished drying and ready for pics. I have a wood to show tomorrow that I bet most of you have not seen, at least not in the way I cut it. So, tune in tomorrow to check it out. Here's todays pics. Sarge ![]() ![]() |

Okay, here we go.....
I found a block of Macassar Ebony which is normally beautiful on it's own. I noticed through all the thoroughseal that was coating it (about 1/8" thick) some indications of some wild patterning underneath. I snagged it, took it home and melted off the thoroughseal and went to the shop for a little investigative cutting. What you see in the pics is what waited underneath. The blanks that I cut from this block have been drying for almost a year with me anxiously waiting for them to be ready to use. Well worth the wait! Just look at this stuff! Wow! I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I do, Sarge ![]() ![]() |

WOW!!!
Those are awesome. I have seen a lot of nice grips, but nothing to compare with those. Have you ever made grips for a C&S Adventurer?

I never saw any Macassar Ebony as nice as that before. That bookmatched set is really breathtaking.
