With the latest dog related posts I thought I'd post a tribute my wife, Lisa, made for our dog Digger.
He was the best dog. Half Lab and half German Shepherd. Today marks the 7th year of his passing. In his passing he bought to us our 2 current Labs, Jake and Jack.

Seven years later and this tribute still make's us cry. Also in the video are his brother and sister Casey (black) and Ginger (choco). Both also passed and with their brother across the Rainbow Bridge.

    Miss you Digger:

Thank you for sharing that, quite moving.

RIP Digger. I must have got something in my eyes.

    Thanks, JeffreyR...

My, are we ever blessed to have these magnificent companions to come our way. They break our hearts when they leave...but it is certainly worth it.

Excellent post, OP, loved the video. A tip o' the hat to Digger. Sounds like he was an exceptional member of the family.

Meet Gizmo, a Lab/Rott mix who spent the first half of her life watching over me and a small English bulldog named Tonka.

The second half of her life was spent watching over me and helping me tame a wild dog that had come onto our lives

Gizmo was a swimming fool and showed Nika the way of water

Gizmo is gone now but she'll never be forgotten. She was a rescue that taught me a lot during her lifetime. Nika now rules the roost and spends her time running with and bullying her much larger best friend, Bogart the Malinois mix

Thanks for the beautiful shots of Gizmo, Nika and Bogart! Yes I understand, our lives are also measured by the dogs we shared our lives with. Mine started when I was born and my dad brought home my first puppy shortly after that day. Laddie was my loving buddy for 17 years!
