    Memorial day weekend

Any body getting together with friends/family this weekend and doing some shooting?

Depending on the weather we might shoot some Coralejo or Milagro tequila, but no guns this year. Whatever the beverage of choice, my family will be remembering those who gave it all for us to be able to enjoy the freedoms we have.

Every day is Memorial Day. God bless our fallen protectors.

I studiously avoid public ranges on holidays. Too many people who have no idea what they are doing.

I never go to a gun range on a weekend. Too many squirrels*

I don't visit the gun club on holidays or weekends usually. My favorite times are Tuesday through Thursday mornings. I or my wife and I often have the entire gun club to ourselves.

I sincerely hope you are not referring to my buddies, Rocky and Bullwinkle...

I'm with @LimaCharlie . I only go to the range every Tues. or Thurs. morning. Usually just me or sometimes one or two other older guys who can usually shoot better than I can. It's a big outdoor range, so we don't get in each other's way.

On Monday I will make mu annual visit to the Wall in DC. I will read the names of those I knew and say a brief prayer for each of them. Then I will come bank to my near Philly home. While I do not see any reason to nit shoot on Memorial Day I just do not want hear gunfire on that day when memories both haunt and nourish me.

I’ll probably do a little shooting in memory of some buddies who are no longer here to join me.

USPSA match on Sat and a .22 pistol steel match on Sunday... will be shooting with lots of friends! Just not an intimate, back-forty shoot.

Memorial Day is a period of reflection for me in remembrance of those individuals whom we lost in my war, Viet-Nam. I can still see their faces and hear their voices!
