Now that you've received your first replacement parts, make sure that you listen to the mechanics' instructions on how to use and service them.
Go in for regular lubes and oil changes, and take them out for swims and walks as needed.

I, too, have received replacement parts, but only in my eyes.
They're OK, but I seem to have lost my X-Ray vision.

Oh, yeah... And get up and about a soon as you can.

Prayers for you @OldVet and those who are providing the medical care and rehab. Hope you have teenager knees again after the surgeries.

BTW, the cutest nurses aren't always the best. When major pain is happening, having Mary Ann around is often better than Ginger.
So what's wrong with Mary Ann. She was much hotter than Ginger

I'd say enjoy the nurses but it's not like the old days (or perhaps it is but with the same nurses 😕 ).

    Are they Bluetooth capable knees?

Everything else is, why not them?

The nurses jump at my every request. Fear has that power. They do come in armed with needles though.

I work with RN's every day. Now I always thought RN stood for Registered Nurse. I had an RN tell me not long ago that it stands for "Refreshments and Narcotics". So OV, make sure you partake at every possibility.

    Update--

Second knee done Friday afternoon, was told it was as bad as first. Doc said I made the right decision to get both done together as far too many who don't never get second done. He said those who do invariably regret it at first but in about six weeks are glad they did.

Had a bit of a flare up at staff who wanted to wait until after PT to numb me up, not in advance like the Doc said. So I said, "No drugs, no PT." I got the meds. Then after hooking the IV back up after PT, it had a blowout, leaking saline solution all over me. Three tries later the IV was in. My right arm looks like a dart board from all the blood draws. I'm reaching my stick and poke limit quickly.

Trying to walk with two new knees is exhausting. One wasn't so bad. I just want to reach the point where I can stand to pee without some storage woman holding my waist. It brings shy bladder to a whole new level.

I suppose if they sent a male in to the bathroom with you, you would have the same problem from worrying about whether he was gay or straight.

    ?????

Anyway, I do hope you do well with all that therapy, and I do not blame you one tiny bit for refusing the therapy before you got the pain meds!
