    Get er done oldvet!

The PT sucks! Never had new parts but had many PT sessions for other things (knees, shoulders, elbows, wrists) and one thing I find is a constant, if it hurts TOOOO much you are doing too much. The physical terrorists are all part of a secret S&M cult with an emphasis on the S. They love to see you pass out from the pain. But this is 'Merica! You don't have to blindly do what they tell you to do, you have rights, freedoms!

Just kidding, no such thing as rights OR freedom in the PT torture chamber...

You'll be dancing in no time. Have a 65 year old farmer neighbor had both hips replaced at the same time...climbs into his tractors like a twenty year old. Bounding like.

    You can do it!

Thanks to all for the prayers and wishes.

I am so glad to hear that your left knee is on the mend....you are my hero as you are doing them both at the same time. One of my friends did the same thing and he came out fine...as I bet you will.....bourbon can help down the road but meds; ice; and therapy will be your friend.....just dont be a hero and hold off on the meds until you are in dire straits.....you will heal better when you dont hurt.....keep us posted and I will have ya in my prayers for healing and comfort sir! Good spirits are in really short supply currently. Something about them not playing well with the drugs.

Heal up quick and don't allow those pain/happy pills to put you in too good of a mood, you may lose your place as our curmudgeon.

Not likely to happen. I was supposed to move to acute card today, but all the admin stuff didn't get complete in time.

    Hang in there, Barry.

I have an elderly neighbor (55 or something.... ); he didn't take the PT seriously and has still not made a full recovery after 5 years.

Seriously, suck it up and do the PT!

And best wishes for a speedy and full recovery!

May you heal quickly, and may the doctor enjoy his new boat.

I believe the label says alcohol enhances the effects so drink away and you'll heal quicker!

Well, make sure they understand the importance of your mental health too. PT is well and fine, but so are intellectual pursuits like The Price is Right.

Work hard - you’ll be rewarded.

    Unhappy Bad day so far

Couldnt get discharged Mon. due to no bed at acute care. No biggie. Legs felt goog Mon pm.

Today was discharged and bed avail atAC. Had ache in left calf and not feeling well. PT about killed me, pin shot up and got weak. Had to get back in bed.

Then what never happened before, I felt a wave of mental breakdown rolling over me and I broke. No stopping it. It was like standing on the tracks as the train is running at you.

Discharge is on hold pending results of ultrasound and CRT for signs of clots. The med tech circus is about to begin. Gotta run.

Getting them both done at the same time takes some grit. Hang in there, pardner!
