As would be expected, more calls for Gun Control and blaming the NRA. Most of the replies were sympathetic but many are pathetic.

Sounds like the criminals were MS-13 gang members, or some other cartel related killers. They were apparently were well armed, and decent shots (for criminals). The initial reports definitely don't make the criminals sound like the average gang bangers/druggies.

It will be interesting to hear more about the situation.

What did we learn? Criminals do not buy guns at the local gun store. They steal them. If the grocers had guns, they could have defended themselves. Or put another way, when seconds count, the police are minutes away.

All too often the police are as much the victims of these firearm restrictions as are the general population.

How were these police victims of firearm restrictions? (statutory restrictions that affect the general population, not department policy or spending limitations)

My condolences to the family of officer Seals.

It will be a real shame if we learn that armed citizens could have disrupted or ended this incident more quickly.

And during all of this mayhem, none of my guns got out of the safe, drove to Jersey City, and started firing at police and innocent parties. What a surprise.

News report this morning are now saying that the Jewish grocery store was targeted and this was a deliberate act of anti-Semitic terror.

Not really in NJ. I was not born there but I grew up in NJ. The NJ police gleefully support and enforce ANY firearms law with enthusiasm. They will do anything to arrest a gun owner. I fully support LEO, just not in NJ. Jackbooted thugs that love and worship their Democrat overlords. NJ is a police state.

Gun laws aside, I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts there was an actionable trail that could have been followed leading up to this event. These things rarely, if ever, happen in a vacuum.
