Since this thread has wandered occasionally into calibers needed for bears, etc. -- here's a guy who didn't need no steenkin' calibers at all. Killed a mountain lion with his hands....

This caught my attention: ""The lion lunged at the runner, biting his face and wrist. He was able to fight and break free from the lion, killing the lion in self-defence. The cat died from suffocation."

After killing the predator, the man was able to leave the park on his own and call for help."

I thought it might have been Bad Bob at first. Then I said, naaaah...he wouldn't have bothered to call for help. Plus he doesn't seem like he'd be a runner. Couldn't have been him.

If you see me running the laxative is working.

I would have just shot the critter.

@Bad Bob . That's a true classic I have to remember. Best laugh of the day so far!

When I see someone running, I always look for the big person or animal chasing them.

You are right, Bob is not made for speed. He more like a gorilla....

And Shepards we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, So that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command,
And we shall flow a river forth to Thee, And teeming with souls shall it ever be,
