The holster doesn't ride comfortably at the 12:30 position. It doesn't affect the drawstroke much, if any by carrying it at 11:30.

I understand the rubbing. I solved that problem by adding a chunk of leather to soften up the hard edge of the back of the slide.

It’s kind of weird but my 1911 carried iwb in the MS SS is the most comfortable mode of carry for me these days.

    IMHO None of them.

The CompTac MTAC is the only one I'd ever consider and that's only after every other option has been exhausted.

I'm pretty much a hater of all things hybrid for lots or reasons, including comfort. There are too many other solid options available, IMO.

Man, I can’t even look at that pic...

Up until about ten pounds ago, I would have agreed with you completely. That said, this current rendition is the most comfortable IWB carry method I have ever experienced. Even when bicycling, it's comfortable and concealed. I never really had that with my previous IWB 3:00 setup, which after a few miles of pedaling, I definitely know it was there.

I find the commander carried just forward of the hip with my Galco summer comfort is very comfortable. Really makes no difference vs a polymer single stack 9mm.

I’m glad it works for you, but even in the pic you can see the gun pushing into your stomach.

And while I don’t want to derail into a discussion of safety and AIWB carry, the fact is your muzzle is pointed at a very bad spot. This violates the “don’t point your gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy when you are handling it” rule every single time you handle the gun.

With carry on the hip, a ND/AD might net you a flesh wound. With this, you’ll bleed out before the paramedics can get to you.

    Sorry, just no.

Your safety concerns are valid, for sure, and drawstroke and holstering require me to pay extra care and attention.

It's actually laying flat against my stomach, not pushing. Like I said in another post, ten pounds ago it would not even have been possible, let alone comfortable.

    The struggle continues.

    It is real.

    First world problems.

    USA problems.

You realize, Mike, as we age, and lose height, we need to lose more weight? I personally find that offensive. My Doctor added 8 more pounds to my goal.
easy fix, take your gun off before you get to the scales!

Good to see you back Mike. I cross carry at 10:30 and it’s so much more comfortable.
