    Kimber K6S Revolver Really Shoots

Tried the Kimber K6S revolver again at the range again shooting mild 357 cast bullet reloads. The Kimber accuracy is uncanny shooting at 21 feet bullet holes just cluster together. Double action trigger pull is sweet. Only thing would like to see is more rounded grips made of a softer material.

I'm glad some folks are getting their hands on this revolver and seeing what a good job Kimber did with it. I love mine with both .38spl and mild .357 rounds.

I'm right there with you. I was a little hesitant to buy since they had just started rolling out but I am still glad I jumped on the deal.

Thanks ronbo, for the thread discussing the K6S!

I've not seen one yet and assumed from the photos that the grips were somewhat soft. Your comment about them is interesting.

I've not seen one in person yet.

Probably will not walk out with it and put a For Sale, sign on my KLCR .357,
    but you never know

Also, I'd be really excited to see Kimber offer us their K6 in 9mm.

Mine is just as good as everybody says it is. I have taken it to the range three times already and it is a pleasure to shoot , even with 357's. When you pick this gun up it just screams quality. You can feel it in your hand. I found a holster at the gun show this weekend. The guy at the table said a holster for a J frame would work and he was right. I have already started to carry it. Indeed, Kimber has a hit on their hands with this gun.

    My rubber grips are soft.
I don't own a lot of firearms with rubber grips on them though, so I should say they seem soft to me.

The K6S grips look like they are soft rubber but is a thin coating, the back strap is not covered, underneath the rubber coating is hard honeycomb plastic on the one I have

I read somewhere that the gun actually went back to the drawing board to improve the grip, so it's interesting to me that they went with a hard plastic grip, of all things. I'd expect either a fancy wood grip, soft rubber, or both!

Anyway, looks like a beautiful pistol!

My LGS has one and it has my name on it. I'll retire my S&W 640, now. I love it but I just want one more round for reassurance.
