My HK VP9sk has night sights on it also but I would have chosen to carry that Colt as well! Wow! Nothing wrong with being able to defend yourself, your wife and friends in style my brother!

Happy birthday to your wife. Awesome people were born in Feb. (mine was the 16th).
Let her know she has good taste in firearms.

This thread proves the old adage that “1911s are what you show your friends, Glocks are what you show your enemies.”
Glad you were among friends for your wife’s birthday.

Fine choice in a gun....But i am concerned when a wife picks out clothing for the hubby to wear.
That is one rule i laid down 20+ years ago before we tied the knot...."No picking of the mans clothes"

Life is too short to carry an ugly gun....
The 1911 is an antiquated weapons system but then again, so am I.

glockman 10mm No night sights on your 1911 !! Oh No . Now I know your old enough to have carried handguns before night sights came out and I'm sure you carry a flash light and practice with and know tritium inserts are not needed unless the light level is very low then you need a flash light to be sure of what your shooting at !! So you know night sights are not really a requirement or you would have added at least a front NS to your 1911 . Just have'n some fun . sorta
cornnhusker 95 Must make you feel like a real man to have a wife that lets you dress your self un aided ! Aaaaahahahahehehe
Lookin' sharp there, Glockman! Lordy. OC is legal in NC, but we live in a college town. I'd get some severe flak if I wore that Colt on my hip.
