A Beretta? I have a M9A3. Love it.
I just lookied this up on the Beretta website. Oh, man. Oh, man.
Why did you have to post this?
Oh, man.... :aargh4:
I got their email the other day. I forgot to check back today.
I've been seriously thinking about a single-stack 9. I was really wanting to look at the new Mossberg, but I really like my APX Compact. I wonder what the size difference is between the two? Maybe I'll have to stick with the Beretta line? Hmm... Wonder when it will be in stores so I can get my hands on one?
This is just my luck. I just switched back to a double stack carry gun, how much you guys wanna bet that I buy one like an idiot. Sigh. If they do a full range of single stacks like glock is doing with the 43, 43x and 48 i might be in big trouble.
The only reason P10C won out over the APX is because the p10c was in stock everywhere. I never got my hands on an APX and man was I drooling
I watched a 20 minute YouTube review. Comparison to the G43. The reviewer didn't like the trigger, showed a fairly close-up of the trigger action. He didn't think it was as good as the other APX models, and already mentioned aftermarket triggers. I may have some reservations.
Also, it has a 6 round mag. The Shield has 7, so that makes up for the height difference. I dunno. It's still an attractive new gun for sure. :scratchchin:
you guys have never heard of the Glock 43, SW Shield, Springfield XDs, Glock 48, Kahr PM9? I would say Beretta is WAY late to the party of this one, but it is good to have choices. I would look at the APX if it didn't look like a power tool you would find at Home Depot, but if you hands are really that slippery, the Buzz Lightyear Grippies on the slide may fit the bill.
I have no need for this gun, but I like it. The weight (just about 20oz) suggests that it will be a softer shooter like a Shield rather than a snappy P938 or LC9s, while the dimensions (especially the height) suggest that it will be very concealable. If I was interested in a subcompact, single stack 9mm, this is one I would consider.
