Range Report: Sig P225-A1 and P365

We've had a bunch of rain lately so rather than drag my wife to the outdoor range, we went to the only indoor range in our area (I know, if it ain't rainin' you ain't trainin'...). I took my "new" Sig P225-A1, and Mrs. Raven shot her new Sig P365. We were shooting Blazer brass 124 grain and Winchester white box 124 grain.

The Sig P225-A1 shot perfectly. The magazines were easy to load with all eight rounds and the gun was very accurate. Easy to control, slim grip. No failures to feed, no failures to eject, no stove pipes.

Here was one of my targets:

The Sig P-365 shot well but had some magazine issues that my wife did not identify to me until after we left the range. One magazine, that I will have to take apart, could not be loaded past six rounds. She had a couple of failures to feed. She liked the trigger (so did I) and her perception was that it had less recoil than her G43. It certainly shot accurately.

I checked several spent cases and did not observe any signs of striker drag.

After dinner tonight,I disassembled the magazine that could not be loaded past six rounds and actually found a second follower stuck inside the spring. Can you spell "quality control"????

Good report. I'm a big fan of photo realistic targets of Terrorist and Thug types. And I love shooting steel, too.

Glad you liked how the P225 shot for you. This isn't doing anything to help me postpone getting one @G26Raven !

The Sig P225-A1 is very underrated. It is accurate, and reliable. I picked up P225 carry talo for $569 delivered to my FFL. Bought for my woman. Best $569 i have ever spent. Those Talo G10 grips are the best I have ever handled.

I haven't shot the 225A1 but my old P6 was awesome in SA and a pure tack driver, the DA was horrendous though,,,really wish I had it back
If it needs to be done, do it.
