    No factor whatsoever.

Honestly this has never even crossed my mind. Ive carried many guns I bought used that did not require a background check.

In my career I have run hundreds (thousands ??) of guns through NCIC that were involved in some sort of investigation, never ever did the subject of 4473 come up. I the NCIC check is negative and you say its yours tjat's all I need to know.

I am curious as to why you think it makes some sort of difference.

No difference at all as long as it is a legal and not stolen or of questionable origins.

While I love the Allante the XRS is a surerior car from all perspectives. The Allente is just for fun and an occasional car show. I just into new and improved.
I carry 'em indiscriminately. Doesn't make any difference to me if Form 4473 was completed for a given firearm or not. I do smugly keep special record of the ones that never appeared on a 4473.

New's ok, if I can be convinced it is truly improved. With guns as with cars it's mighty difficult to convince me that new is superior in the important attributes I seek.

This is a proper 1996 Cadillac rather than some stunted "Cadette," heh! Sadly we swapped it off only two days ago for some "less is more" new car. I'm in mourning. It was the superior car from my perspective and was our daily driver and extended road trip war wagon for years.

What can I say? I like weight. In my carry handguns. In my vehicles.

To me it's not the issue of the form 4473 being filled out or not, it's not knowing where the gun came from. Id carry a gun my Dad gave me with out a thought. A gun that I bought from a guy at work, who got it from his uncle's friend's cousin who won it in a poker game, I might not want to tote around every day.

I would not. I only have a couple and in those cases, although they were acquired legally, there is no paper trail that leads to me. I keep those as hideaway SHTF guns, guns no one is ever even going come looking to either confiscate or ask me what I did with them. All the guns I carry I did paperwork on.
