I learned the sad truth a long time ago....

I think it is great that she is interested enough to switch up. That tells me she has an interest that compels her to acknowledge and notice differences in various platforms.

Im switching up this week too (again), shelving the Glock for the Colt 1911, with the 380 in the pocket filling in the gaps where I can’t carry the bigger gun.

I never could understand why it has to be one or the other for some people.

Sounds like good reasoning to me - good decision.

wife carries most of the time a shield 9mm with a crimson trace lazer on it. But she likes shooting, and shoots the monthly matches we do together. I have several guns myself to choose from...I mean a guy has got to have a choice...some days a custom glock 27 with grip reduction, sights, etc, a glock 42 or a Walther PPS M2(i really like that gun and they are on sale online for like 269.00)

The G43 and P365 were my two finalists recently for a more compact concealed carry and the Sig won out, primarily for its sights and the larger capacity. Both great choices though, as far as I can tell....

    1) The magazine release on the Sig is easier for her to operate and get a positive magazine removal. Not sure whether this is the shape of magazine release "button," the location of the "button," less tension, or all of the above
    2) The gun is easier for her to draw from her Maxpedition bag that she uses as her purse.
    3) Her perception is that the Sig has less recoil than the G43.
    4) She likes the green Sig Xray sights better than the orange Trijicon HD sights on her Glock.
    5) She likes the fact that the Sig has a higher magazine capacity.

As a result she has decided to switch from carrying the G43 to the Sig P365.
What's not to like.....if she likes it; works for her; and has faith in it....it is a winning combination......my wife loves her Glock 43.....

She sounds like a smart lady to me! I've been eyeballing the Sig P365 myself lately, seems like a great option and I love how it holds 10 rounds! I have recently switched from my XDE 9 to a Shield 9 for better concealability in the warm weather. Love to hear some feedback on the Sig a little later down the line too!

There are a lot of threads that have been going here about the P365. Some of the earlier pistols definitely had issues, but the more recent versions seem to have the bugs worked out. It's been out long enough now that I have no qualms about my wife carrying hers.

The way the magazines 10 rounders are made for the Glock43X, with that extra plastic coating, an all steel one should be doable for 15 rounds? That would make it as good as a G19.
