I am not into inexpensive 9mm handguns. If I had to choose, it would be the Ruger based on owning Ruger guns since 1967 and their excellent customer service. My current Ruger guns are rifles and big bore revolvers.

I'd take a M&P Shield which can be had for $279 at Academy on sale. I know it's not a double stack but would be the choice I would make if I was restricted to your budget. Just my .02 worth!

You can get an M&P 2.0 compact for less than $400 from several online sellers.

From your list, on the low end you have the Ruger and the Taurus. Ruger...

On the high end you have the Arex, IWI and the Canik. If the Masada shoots like the Jericho, go IWI all day. I would go Sig Pro 2022 before the Arex and maybe save a few dollars in the process.

I love my TP9SF, shoots perfectly. I am interested in trying the Masada, I own several IWI products and have never had any issues with any of them.

    Iím gonna be blunt.

Iíll take a surplus G17 over all that lot, for $300.

FN also has FNSís for under $300, new...definitely a consideration. I also recall seeing M&P's for under $300.

When I purchased my Canik, two of the gun shop salesman recommended the Canik I Purchased for roughly $300. They said if this gun was not Turkish it could easily sell for $500. I was looking at the Smith and Wesson MNP 2.0. But settled on the Canik for $150 less.

One of the better choices has been missed. S&W SD9VE. I'd also consider the Canik TP9SF Elite One Series (the non-One Series is more like $400,) The AREX and Masada need some more years on them.

I love my SCCY CPX2. 10+1 double stack, American made, lifetime warranty (transferrable) and well under 300.

If you can get the SR9c for under $300, that's a good deal, as long as you're OK with a safety.

Double stack I'd trust to carry under $300? Look for a used gun that's known to be reliable.

Lots of used M&P's on Gunbroker for ~$300.

I know it's not what you asked but there's not much out there new and in that price range that I would actually purchase.
